The 2018 MolPharm Workshop will be organised in association with the Cancer and Bone Society.

The 8th International Workshop on Advances in the Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics of Bone and other Musculoskeletal Diseases (also known as MolPharm) will take place in Oxford on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July. On Saturday there will be several lectures regarding Paget's Disease of Bone.

The conference is intended to provide a basis for understanding the molecular mechanisms of action of drugs known to act on the skeleton, and a rational basis for developing novel therapies in the future, based on some of the remarkable recent advances in the genetics and biology of bone and the musculoskeletal system.

The Workshop is interactive and international, with speakers who are leaders in their fields in academia and industry. It is held at St Catherine’s College, Oxford and is for scientists, clinicians and researchers.

Learning objectives:

- To gain a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of action of drugs already known to act on the skeleton.
- To discuss a rational basis for developing novel therapies in the future.
- To gain a better understanding of the development of drugs for the treatment of metabolic bone diseases.

The Cancer and Bone Society Meeting will take place on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd July.

There will also be a 1-day Seminar "Musculoskeletal Research in Oxford" on Wednesday 4 July.
