Advances in Molecular Pharmacology    International Symposium

Abstracts for the Paget’s Symposium will be published in the journal Calcified Tissue International and will be available for delegates to collect on arrival at the meeting.

Accommodation

If you are staying at the University please collect your room key from the Porters’ Lodge on your arrival, otherwise please go straight to the registration desk.

Vacating rooms

For those staying on campus, please note that rooms must be vacated after breakfast on the day of your departure.

Internet access

Internet access will be available to enable delegates to access emails while at the meeting(s).

Delegates may use the open-access computer room adjacent to the JCR. This is equipped with end-of-life computers that are set up to provide basic web access. Any email accounts that delegates might wish to use must therefore be accessible via a web interface. There is no charge for this service.

In case of emergencies, messages can be left for delegates at the Porters’ Lodge on +44 (0)1865 271700. The Porters’ Lodge is manned 24 hours a day.

Meals on campus

Dining times at the College are as follows:

07.45 breakfast
12.45 lunch (or as stated in the scientific programme)
19.00-20.30 dinner (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
19.30 for 20.00 dinner (Wednesday)

Lectures will take place in the Bernard Sunley Lecture Theatre and posters, exhibition and tea/coffee breaks will be in the same building.

Travel

By air
There are three major airports within 90 minutes of Oxford: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Birmingham. Regular coaches and trains connect the airports with the city. Please see www.theairline.info/ for timetables and fares. For individual car transfers from Heathrow and Oxford, please see www.oxicars.com.

By train
There are regular train services to Oxford from all parts of the country and from continental Europe via the EuroTunnel.

By road
Oxford lies at the centre of a network of major roads and motorways. The M40 gives access to the West and Wales. There are regular bus and coach links, including all-night coaches to and from London. Journey time approximately 1 hour from London and from Birmingham.

Car parking

Some parking is available in the College car park. Please be sure to display a permit. Permits can be picked up at the Porters’ Lodge.

Bone Research Society Annual Meeting in Aberdeen, 3-5 July

The Bone Research Society's Annual Meeting will take place immediately prior to the Molecular Pharmacology workshop in Aberdeen. You may wish to plan this into your trip. Details are available on the Bone Research Society website at www.brsoc.org.uk.
