Two Norwich Professors took on our Cycling Challenge

Two Norwich Professors wanted to help make a difference to those suffering from Paget's disease so they took on the challenge of the Prudential RideLondon 100. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, together with the University of East Anglia make up the Norwich Paget’s Association Centre of Excellence. Director of the Centre and Trustee of the Paget's Association, Professor Bill Fraser, together with co-director, Professor Jeremy Turner, took up our challenge to cycle for Paget’s in the ‘Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100’ cycle event. The route is 100 miles of traffic-free cycling passing through stunning Surrey countryside and by many famous London landmarks, before finishing on The Mall.

Well Done!

We are pleased to announce that they completed the course. Professor Jeremy Turner finished in five and a half hours, whilst Professor Bill Fraser spent almost ten hours in the saddle to complete the challenge. What a commitment to raise funds for those with Paget's disease! Very well done gentlemen!

Professor Jeremy Turner said, "It was a great pleasure and a privilege to ride in the Ride London 100 mile bike ride for the Paget's Association. It was a great day with thousands of cyclists on closed roads and thankfully, wonderful weather. I am extremely grateful to the many very kind and generous people who have sponsored me and I'm proud to have raised money for the Paget's Association, to support their invaluable work".  You can sponsor Professor Jeremy Turner by following this link to his Virgin Money Giving Page.
