The
Paget’s
Association
is
the
only
UK
charity
supporting
people
with
Paget’s
disease.
To
help
the
Association
meet
its
aims
and
to
ensure
effective
management
we
need
to
recruit
new
members
to
join
our
Board
of
Trustees.
Your
input
would
be
important
because
we
need
to
constantly
review
the
focus
and
direction
of
the
organisation
and
new
ideas
would
help
greatly
in
this
task.
Past
Board
level
experience
is
desirable
but
not
essential
for
the
role
as
you
will
be
supported
by
your
fellow
Trustees.
All
levels
of
experience
would
be
welcome
but
would
be
particularly
interested
in
talking
to
you
if
you
have
any
experience
in
the
following
fields:
Accountancy
–
Financial
Management
–
Marketing
–
Public
Relations
–
Digital
and
New
Media
development
The
Association
is
governed
by
a
Board
of
approximately
thirteen
Trustees
who
are
responsible
for
setting
the
overall
direction,
vision
and
strategy
for
the
charity.
As
a
member
of
the
Board
you
will
be
required
to
demonstrate
a
strong
commitment
to
the
aims
and
development
of
the
Association.
Trustees
are
collectively
responsible
for
setting
the
strategic
aims
and
objectives
of
the
Association
and
ensuring
that
proper
governance
arrangements
are
in
place.
The
role
involves
attendance
at
board
meetings
(approx
4
per
year)
and
other
occasional
meetings
as
appropriate.
Although
the
post
is
unremunerated
reasonable
travel
/
accommodation
expenses
will
be
paid.
